Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association Referee Committee (EPSARC) oversees the administration of the United States Soccer Federation Referee Program within Eastern Pennsylvania. EPSARC has established a process through which you can become a registered and certified soccer referee with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
You can start the process of becoming a registered and certified referee here: http://www.epsarc.org/referees/become-a-referee/
Part of the certification process involves attending a Field Session Clinic. Here, you will follow up on the training you received during your on-line training, and receive hands on experience and feedback from an ESPARC facilitator. Each year, Haverford Soccer Club hosts a EPSARC Field Session Clinic. After you have registered with EPSARC and completed the online portion of your training and background checks, you are invited to attend our Field Session Clinic.
HSC's next Field Session Clinic will be held on March 12th at the Haverford Reserve CREC from 8:30 - 12:30. You can register for our Field Session Clinic in your ESPARC account.
After you attend the March 12th Field Session Clinic, you will be trained and ready to referee Spring season games. You should begin working on your online trainings and background check documents now to prepare for the March 12th class.
ESPARC charges a $100 fee for attending the Field Session Clinic. You will also be asked to purchase a referree kit, similar to this: https://officialsports.com/off-field-apparel/starter-kits/. The background check documents cost a total of $30 - $60 and may take several weeks to be processed.
