Frequently Asked Questions -
Is there an app we can sign up for?
- We use the GotSport app for calendars that can be synced to your smart phone, team chats, rosters, and more. You can find out the details here - GotSport App
- Nothing will appear in the GotSport app until rosters and the schedule are created and published - typically about one week before the start of the season.
What to wear?
- All players need cleats and shin guards (worn under the socks) for every game.
- Jewelry must be removed. If you have new piercings that cannot be removed, they need to be covered with bandaids for safety.
- Your coaches will provide you with a shirt and socks. They will communicate with you about when you will be getting these - most coaches hand them out at the first game.
- A water bottle and a ball
- Grades K-2 use a size 3 ball.
- Grades 3-5 use a size 4 ball.
- Grades MS/HS uses a size 5 ball.
- All of the coaches and players from both teams will be sitting along one sideline.
- The families and spectators should sit on the OPPOSITE side of the field from where the players are seated. You may want to bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
- Dogs are not allowed at the fields - please leave your pooch at home.
- There are no week-day practices for grades K and 1. Your practice time is built into your Saturday/Sunday time slot.
- Grades 2 and above have coach-led practices. Your coach will reach out to you with information about where and when those will take place.
- The league runs Age Group Trainings as well for an additional cost. These are sessions run by a trainer and are for all kids in that age group.
What if my player can't make a game?
- Please let your coach know in advance. Lots of coaches have their lineups set before the game and it is helpful for them to know if a player will not be there.
What if I haven’t heard from my coach?
- Occasionally messages from our coaches go to your spam - check there first.
- If you haven’t heard from your coach by 8 pm on April 3rd, please email us at HSCIntramural@HaverfordSoccer.org. If you e-mail us, please be sure to include your player's name, gender and grade.
