Haverford Reserve

9000 Parkview Drive, Haverford PA

Haverford Reserve

The Haverford Reserve opened for the first time in the Fall of 2009. This venue is located within a housing development and features 1 sod field and 1 synthetic turf field and 1 grass field. We are granted permission to use this field (as well as many other fields) by the Haverford Township Department of Parks and Recreation. There are only 3 rules for using this venue:

1) Absolutely NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED on the athletic fields!
2) The use of colored sports drinks on the synthetic field is strictly PROHIBITED
3) Carpooling is strongly advised as parking is somewhat limited

Haverford Residents are encouraged to use the marple road entrance (off of Darby Road) to minimize traffic through the residential portion of the Haverford Reserve as well as the houses near Coopertown road and the Quadrangle.

From exit 9 of I-476 (aka the Blue Route),
take Route 3 (West Chester Pike) East towards Havertown/Upper Darby. Turn left onto Lawrence Road -- stay in the leftmost turn lane. Take the first left off of Lawrence Rd onto Darby Creek Rd. Go about 1 mile, and look for the entrance to the Haverford Reserve development on your left just before you come to Marple Rd. Follow the development spine road until you see the Haverford Reserve Synthetic Turf field on your right. The parking lot is just beyond the field, and the Haverford Reserve Sod Field is on the other side of the parking lot.

If your GPS sends you to Darby Rd and Parkview Drive, turn onto Parkview Dr (it’s the spine road of a housing development). Continue for 0.7 miles. You’ll pass a traffic circle (aka a clump of three or four trees placed in the middle of the roadway, presumably for traffic calming purposes). The Haverford Reserve Sod Field is on your left shortly after the circle. The Haverford Reserve Synthetic Turf field is on the other side of the parking lot.
