Indoor Intramural Futsal Registration is Open
Winter 2020

Fall soccer is ending and it’s getting cold. Time to head indoors and play some Futsal!!  For those of you unfamiliar with the term, Futsal is HSC’s Winter (indoor) Soccer Program.  Futsal is a great way to experience the game. It’s high scoring, action packed and tons of fun!!

We’re happy to announce that the 2020 season will be kicking off on Thursday, January 23rd and will end on Saturday, March 28th. Whether your child is new to soccer or a seasoned veteran, Futsal is a great opportunity to enjoy the game of soccer on a smaller field (court) with more scoring and less players. Depending on age, we have boys, girls and coed teams.  Here’s a look at how the leagues are assembled and tentative days for when each group will play:

· U7 Coed: Saturday afternoons, 4:00-6:00 PM at Coopertown Elementary (1st Grade)

· U9 Girls: Friday nights, 6:00-7:30 PM at HMS Gym D (2nd & 3rd Grade)

· U11 Girls: Friday nights, 7:30-9:00 PM at HMS Gym D (4th & 5th Grade)

· U9 Boys: Thursday evenings, 5:30-8:30 PM at JCC Haverford (2nd & 3rd Grade)

· U11 Boys: Saturday evenings, 6:00-8:30 PM at HMS Gym A/B (4th & 5th Grade)

· U13 Coed: Saturday afternoons, 3:30-6:00 PM at HMS Gym A/B (6th & 7th Grade)

· U15 Coed: Saturday nights, 5:00-6:30 PM at JCC (8th & 9th Grade)

· U18 Coed: Saturday nights, 6:30-8:00 PM at JCC (10th, 11th & 12th Grade)

Intramural Soccer at HSC

The intramural soccer program at HSC great way to introduce first-time players to the game. There is no previous playing experience required. Parents register their children. Children are put onto a team. Teams have a guaranteed number of games. Older age groups have playoffs.

HSC Intramural program starts at preschool and it goes through high school.

Players are assigned teams based on their school grades.

While we will do everything reasonably possible to accommodate new and returning Intramural players who register on time, we cannot guarantee that a spot on a desired team will be available. We will not expand rosters to accomadate late registrants.

First time players:

All soccer players, whether in a game or during practice, are required to be wearing shin guards or they may not participate. There can be no exceptions to this.

Soccer players of all ages generally wear cleats, dark shorts. They will be provided a uniform shirt and socks by the Club. Socks should always be worn over the shin guards.

For younger players starting out, sneakers are acceptable but there are inexpensive cleats out there. As they get older, cleats are the way to go.

The ball sizes are:
U4 through U8 - size 3
U9 through U12 - size 4
U13 through U18 - size 5

Our games will normally be on a Haverford School District or a Haverford Township field.

Welcome to the Club!
